This section offers a brief overview of an SQL-like query language, AUCQL, for querying a semistructured database that has been extended with properties. AUCQL is like Lorel [3], but has additional constructs to permit queries to exploit properties. The focus of this presentation is on the small changes to the SELECT statement to support the extended query language operators discussed in the previous sections.
