A Symbolic Programming Class for Graduate Students

This is a bunch of lecture notes, code samples, homework assignments, and homework solutions that I put together when I was teaching a symbolic programming class for CS Masters students at DePaul University in Chicago (2000-2002). The class assumes that the students have never seen Common Lisp before but have a good command of basic programming concepts. Some modifications to the notes were made after I started working at Utah State University.

The zip archive with PowerPoint presentations, code samples, etc. is here. The class was one quarter long and met once a week for approximately 3 hours. The archive contains 9 lectures. The last lecture was reserved for a final exam or student reports on a final project.

Please drop me a line if you are using this material. I would like to know how you think it can be improved/modified. I would also like to know your experiences with teaching Lisp.
