Feast Information The feast is being prepared by the same team that won the Iron Chef competition at Uprising, under the watchful gaze of feast steward Lady Flora of Heronton. The feast is limited to the first 85 reservations. The cost of the feast is $10 person, half price for children 12 and under. Reservations are required, though you need not pay in advance. Contact Baroness Rebecca Chadderton for feast reservations. Information about the feast, including a list of ingredients, can be obtained by contacting Lady Flora of Heronton. The tentative menu for the feast is: Starters: Olives, Pickled eggs, raisins and almonds, stuffed mushroom caps, goat cheese, pita bread, hummus. Throughout: Pita bread and flavored butters First course: soup – Tara tore – a cold soup of chopped cucumbers and yogurt, garlic, lemon, sea salt and dill Second course: Mixed baby greens with citrus/balsamic vinegar dressing and feta cheese Third course: Lune – ground meat (lamb if available, else, beef) flavored with garlic, olive oil and spices, grilled on skewers – served with tabule Fourth course: Middle Eastern (NOT to be confused with Thai) chicken curry – served with seasoned lentils or saffron rice, unsalted peanuts, shredded coconut, masalla (middle eastern spice blend) raisins, flaked chilies and yogurt Fifth course: A fig dessert. Served with Thresher’s Beer, also known as Sekanjabin. |
